What are essential oils?

An essential Oil has been called the true essence or soul of a plant or flower. Some come from the bark or middle of a tree or some are extracted from leaves and the heads of flowers. They have been described as plant hormones, the Greek word which means that the oils carry healing properties throughout the body to reach the imbalance.

Combining Essential Oils with Massage

Massage is therapeutic in itself but when combined with the use of Essential Oils the effect is enhanced. Massage helps the oils penetrate and the "rubbing" movements remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, revitalising and softening tissue.

Massage is one of the best ways to make a person feel comforted and secure, as "touch" is an extension of our earliest memories. The stimulating or relaxing effects that massage can bring helps many ailments and may build up our immune system so that we can enjoy the harmony of our own being.
